To get an early start on things for sale, I have a myers aluminum full top, plow and pump for a cj2a. The plow is the " you get out and change the angle" type. Some cj2a engine parts, and m37 parts. If I have it I'll bring it to the show.

Such a good Samaritan.. Don't worry you will get your 10 fold. It sounds like Sasquatch is making a trip to Findlay? Maybe you can sneak my stuff in his truck? Sent him a PM no answer yet. Are you bringing a M101? If so let me know I will make some more deals.:) Hey can you spot me $400 for Docs small tow bar? :doghead:Make sure you give them guys directions to our show! They got all the goodies in Ohio!!!

Hey Chuck you have any original WWII M1 Gerand bayonets? Or Korean war M1 Carbine Bayonets? Just wondering...
Wasn't sure if I should start this or not but didn't want the show specifics to get all lost in the trade and barter banter.

He said it has the duel feet on it. Talk him down for me! Use your tent purchasing skills.. :-| I need a smaller one for moving dead trucks around the yard and towing CUCV's. My heavy medium takes two men and a small boy to hook up and move. It's killing me!

No, Sasquatch isn't going to Findlay, he has prior family engagements for which he has to attend. However, for a small fee, he will be in the flint area on sunday, so he may be able to wander south a bit for your goodies, will have to clear it with Eric.
For quicker responce, use the phone, I carry it all day

Now back to the regular schedule swap wants/sell/trade thread

I am interested in buying, bartering for one of each in good shape original issue. Any parts you looking for I might have? I want to be able to stick a intruder after I empty the clip/clips.. Plus I can push the remains out the door.

Yes, for a trade, a deuce exhaust kit if that's OK with you. That's about what we are talking $ wise. The M1 Carbine bayonet is a rare, 'unissued' sawback version, not a finley sharpened sawback like a Swiss or some of the German ones, but a sawback nonetheless. The original M1 Garand Bayonet will also be VERY nice, you can take your pick from 3 of them, they are not unissued like the M4, but VERY nice with great 'deep strike' ordnance and proof marks on them- each one different years of manufacture also.

I can see i'll be giving a few bayonet 'lessons/411' to some folks at the inside tables Eric and i will have. (not that i am one of the great Bayonet experts, I'm simply a 'student' that knows a few things) and that's GREAT that some folks are interested!

The 'long' US bayonet, is the M1905; with a 16" blade was originally manufactured for the Springfield M1903 bolt action 30.06 rifle famously in service for many decades; beleive it or not, there were a few of the accurized versions with new barrels of course still floating around in Nam. Both the Garand Rifle, and the Sprinfield '03 have the same bayonet receiver, or more accurately take the same style bayonet-on purpose of course.

The 'standard' Garand Bayonet, is either the newly manufactured to the new spec of just shy of 10", or what is refered to as the "Cut Downs" - which were all the original 16" M1905s they could get thier hands on, and cut down to the new 10" spec. Both are easily identifible- thus the slang 'cut down' for the original M1905s that they modified for modern warfare. ALL the countries came to realize that having a 16" up to 2 foot long bayonet on the end of your rifle was just flat STUPID for 'modern' (WWII and after) warfare.

The extremely long Bayonets, in various thicknesses and styles of 'blades/spikes' were first used in even the early 1800s, right through WW!, until the scenerio described above came into play.

Any bayonet experts out there that would like to add to or correct anything I said; please do so, thanks.

You are a plethora of information and thanks for sharing. As I curled my eyebrows and gave this some thought. A couple of dead brain cells reconnected and I recalled this info with your help. I just have a picture of Marines hitting the beach and they all have them long pig stickers in their assault packs. They used the M1903 in great numbers also.

Now who is bringing a trailer load of OD goodies to sell? Post up your wants guys if I have it I will bring it. If I don't hear anything it stays in the Motor Pool stock yard.
