I will be putting a new water pump on this weekend and I have a question...

I read somewhere or someone told me that I can plug the heater line coming out of the cross-over tube and take the plug out of the side of the pump for better flow to the heater (TM 9-2320-289-34 / 3-48 /page 257 / part #14)

Has anyone done this? True? Good? Bad? ugly?

That's a new one one me. I just did an R&R on my A/C equipped M1009 water pump and it was a real PITA, let me tell you. My heater is more than adequate, so I don't see the requirement from my seat...
