waterpump question

okay i got a new water pump but it only has 4 bolt holes not 8 is this bad? everything fits on it and lines up

Are you referring to the part where the pulley and the fan clutch bolt up? If so, the 8 holes are a dual bolt pattern-a large diameter 4 bolt pattern, and a small diameter 4 bolt pattern. If your pulley and fan clutch bolt on, you're good to go.
