New truck or one thats been running for a while?

Call a tow truck to get it somewhere safe so you can work on it w/o getting run over.

I called Buz, he is a mechanic so simple stuff I am sure he can
try to diagnosis but from what I gather it is making grinding / rattling
type noise upon DOWNSHIFT. It is the M931A2 bobtail that has an issue.
He does have a towbar.

I looked up in the TM, TM 9-2320-272-23-1, EXCESSIVE NOISE DURING SHIFTING

Minor stuff is included is all.

Did both trucks get recovered? If so then tow the broken one.

Yep, they have 2 trucks and a towbar if necessary.

Well want to thank all that answered my stress call....Not knowing the trucks we were transporting in this recovery miss judged problem...Feel kind of stupid, but it was a bad heater blower making the racket!!What a relief ..... Rest of trip was uneventful. except the weather....Cold, Snow, Rain, Wind, Closed I 40, 24 hours resume trip, arriving home Dec, 28 PM..All is well, Both Trucks performed Well...

Glad you made it home alright Buz. John had told me you were stuck out on I-40 due to road closures, but doing alright. I assume it wasn't too bad, what with a camper and all.
