What are these for? from head gasket kit

Not sure what these are used for. Did not see anything like this when I removed heads from motor on multifuel. Also, I was able to remove the nuts from oil cooler side. I am not sure the tool I have will be able to torque nuts. Is anyone willing to loan or rent their tool. If so, please private message me.

Those are for the exhaust manifold. It it not one piece but 3. No clue how to remove/install them.
