Halftrackkid received a phone call form a scrapper he knows. The scrapper was cleaning up a ranch in Santa Maria, CA Ranch and found this military trailer that has not moved in over 40 years. Needlessly we beat feet to check it out. The only information we received from the previous owner was he has owned it for over 40 years, and it has never moved. It was purchased surplus from Port Hueneme CA. The only data plate is a brass plate stating built by the Trailermobile compamy. There is no model number, only the serial number of 77260 and two U.S. Navy stamps. The same serial number is also stamped on the trailer tongue. As you can see from the attached photos both Halftrackkid and I (standing in the trailer)are in the 40' semi scrap trailer with it! Can anyone tell us what exactly this trailer is?
