Just start saving your pennies for an injector pump rebuild. It is not a question of if but when. Most of the pumps out there are 30+ years old and more than likely have never been rebuilt.

Unless you have deep pockets for the test equipment have a shop rebuilt it.

These are heavy duty pumps already.

I am not aware of Stanadyne still building these pumps for the 6.2L engine. You might find a NOS unit. But it will cost you.

First, a multi engine IS A diesel engine that can run on battle field collect crap if needed to complete the mission.

The clearances in the cucv ip are a LOT tighter then those on a multi and even then the multi was a throw away engine if the need raised if that what it took to complete the mission. Another thing is running wmo WILL coke up the valves, injectors, plus the FINE crap WILL act as a valve grind compound eating valve guides, stems, injectors, then the ACIDS WILL corrode the internals of the ip pump.

It does NOT matter how many "---------" think they know more then the engineers, the bottom line is that the cucv engine IS A DIESEL ENGINE, DESIGNED TO RUN ON DIESEL, not crap, ANYTHING else WILL lower the longevity of the engine.

How many miles have you logged on alternate fuels in your cucv?
