Only problem it's tan lol.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Ken, you know you're secretly loving the white wall look...Only problem it's tan lol.
I saw the idea on a YouTube video. A guy used index cards, and tire shine manually applied(no spray application) to paint some crown vic rims. He did not use tape. If you use my method DO NOT move the truck after getting the index cards taped on, they will pop out of the bead area as the tire bulges at the bottom when rolling.Ken, you know you're secretly loving the white wall look...
The index card trick is a good one Lindsey. I'll have to use that when I paint the inner edge of the wheels that I decided not to paint when I had them apart. I didn't think that one through very well, lol.
It can't smell any worse than PB Blaster!!! That is some stinkin stuff!Kroil was my favorite rust bolt loosener and gun cleaner until someone told me about the one penetrating oil that outperformed Kroil in a rusty bolt scientific test.
50:50 ATF and Acetone. It works, and you don’t have to be really cautious with it because of the cost. ATF and Acetone are not nearly as expensive as Kroil.
Since s I can’t see your inner bolts, see if there is a practical way to fill a cup with the mixture and hold the filled container up so the threads get soaked? May not be possible. Any way to get at those threads from the outside?
Good lick. Try the Acetone ATF fluid mix. It’s stinky, but so was Kroil.
Nice truck !!!Well, I pulled a huge mulberry tree stump 2-1/2 tons out of the ground, no problem! Hauled off full load of debris. Last week did the cruise night thing. The week before, I packed rear bearings and changed tires over to new 395/85s. Much better ride depending on the tire pressure. 70lb seem to be pretty good at 60 mph. I'm going to try 80, the 65 to see what the difference is.

It’s all 1/2” and I’m putting the finishing touches on it now. Its bolted to a standard M923A2 bumper without adding any extension. It’s 10” wide, so it sticks out only 10”, And the winch sits on top of the bumper. An extension is not needed. No, the hood does not hit the winch. So, buf, that post was useless with out photos. Please post some. Have been thinking about bumpers. But. Need fresh ideas. Thanks
I've though about building some side panels like yours. Nice!Nice truck !!!
I did the same tire to my M929A2. They are a lot more stable with a load. Did you make any effort to balance them?
My truck came with troop seats in a heap in the back that I took apart and used the uprights with wood to go twice as high. I hauled dirt and large concrete to the top, so maybe 8 tons or more, about 20 loads, and am really happy compared to the AT-2 Goodyear 14.00 I had.
sorry photo is before tires.
SS bolts?Installed an antenna.View attachment 703625View attachment 703626
