Well this was a massive amount of work. I’m impressed with the rapco spray paint though. Probably the easiest I’ve ever used. Ignore the wires hanging down. Still need to hook those up.
VERY impressive! The attention to detail is outstanding. Like the countersunk fasteners!

Has anyone ever found a conventional wiper arm that will work on these vehicles?
Yes. There is a thread in the archives here somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.
Essentially, it's a vintage Anco or Trico wiper arm that fits right on the military wiper motor stud and a 12 inch blade that goes on that. No drilling or other mods required.

You want the Trico 33-122 "Classic" wiper blades and use them with Anco 4101 adjustable wiper arms.

Well, after looking, that thread is about Humvee wipers, I think. I heard the 70's Ford Bronco arms will work, but I don't know.
Russ, I think the forum software is playing tricks on you. When I click the link for the thread I posted and scroll up, it says it's the 5-ton thread. Those are parts that I put on my 5-ton. I have not put them on my HMMWV.

Almost done with all new fuel system hoses, FDC bypass, and spin on fuel filters. Waiting on one 90 degree fitting... hurry up amazon...

I actually drove mine for the first time in 4+ months! Checked the fluids and tires, the engine fired off in about 4 twists, and then cruised down to the truck stop for diesel. Almost scared some bicycles off the road when exercising the jakes. The truck got some stares, some salutes, some thumbs up, and the hot blonde across the intersection stopped to take a picture instead of take her free right. 😉

I guess your setup would definitely put some sunshine on other drivers at night. For the headlight height issue, I have an idea in the works right now. My older M818 has more fender space for lights than yours, so my idea can work on my truck.

While not a "top of mind" issue, theft of an MV is always a worry, and I had "buy locking door handles" on my to-do list... well, a couple weeks ago a friend sent a Facebook link about a 5 ton stolen from the next Parish over and is still missing, so it went to the forefront of my thoughts...

Ordered and today received/installed the locking door handles from our vendor Those Military Guys. The entire process took about 10 minutes, and while I know it won't stop a determined thief, it'll at least stop the casual crackhead or joyrider. Next order is the keyed ignition switch

I also unfolded to clean my cargo cover, and in the process found the back panel threads had completely dry rotted, so I brought the cover to a local awning repair place to have it resewn

This M936A2 just got new fuel lines through and through (I despise the fuel selector valve hoses), adjusted the rear PTO linkage, and other minor repairs. It's amazing how new something is when it's overhauled lazily then they deadlined it because nothing works right. Good old RRAD. BTW, everything works great now.

I got tired of gear oil seeping out of fill plugs and chunks so I replaced the stock air vents on my M813 axles with brass hose barbs, connected them together with 1/4" hose and tee's and ran the hose up to the breather manifold (but not terminated there yet). The rear axle actually puffed out pressurized air when I removed the old vent. I lasered out a 14 ga. stainless bracket to dangle off an oil pan bolt to hold the front axle hose clear of the winch drive shaft as it crosses over to the frame.

I also put on new rubber supercord on the back of the cargo cover.
