So, I go out to do my weekly crank and run a bit and although 24 volt battery tender shows full charged batteries, it won't turn over and just makes clicking sounds. So I take rear battery loose and hook up fast 12 Volt charger and in 2 min, fully charged, then repeat process to unconnected other battery bang 2 min fully charged.
Then connect all backup and try cranking again, same think just clicks, wtf could this be, I'm not diesel savy, and handicapped to boot, anyone with suggestions, its appreciated, no mechanics in my area know squat.

Starter is shot...or the factory starter relay is bad... ask me how I know !

So I'm not the only one who doesn't even like the thought of others working on my vehicles.
Largely that's because I usually end up doing the job myself, anyway, except right.
I think in the last 10 years this will be my 2nd time taking a vehicle to a shop to have someone else do the work.....the first was a clutch on my miata..i was also not happy about that..i just didn't have the time to do it myself. Bit I don't think anyone likes other people touching their stuff, most times they come back with " oh you need this and oh you need that " they are not in buisness to be your friend though....the bastards

My first action would be to load check the batteries. Then I'd look for less than good connections.
By the way, one way to keep the connections happier would be to leave them alone, including when charging the batteries. There's no reason to disconnect the batteries when charging them.
Also, look at the starting system as a regular 12 Volt setup. It all works the same, except with 24 Volts.

AutoZone has the starter and a retrofit relay available.

Yep, you just treat each battery as a separate one, putting the charger on the one you want to charge.
It doesn't matter how many batteries are involved, or whether they're wired in series or parallel, as long as the charger is for the same voltage as the battery.

As long as you hook it up to the positive and negative of the same battery, the charger will only charge that battery. You don't have to disconnect anything.

Discovered this when changing air filter.

On lookout for another one.
Will attempt to tack weld this weekend

Gasket is used between manifold and filter housing and wingnuts always tight.

I did just replace all the injectors, which smoothed out the idle considerably.

I did just replace all the injectors, which smoothed out the idle considerably.

I've got one if you need it.
