Normally from use of ether, but could also be from a bad injector leaking fuel creating hot spots.View attachment 708304
Found out why my truck wouldn’t start.
Will pull passenger side tomorrow.
These are AC60Gs
Whats left of them anyway.
New Delphi injectors were installed less than a month ago.Normally from use of ether, but could also be from a bad injector leaking fuel creating hot spots.
When was the last time injectors were done?

O’reilly Auto is where I bought mine.I found a set for 65.00 from Amazon if you need some glow plugs . And that was a set of 8.
I am surprised that you have 60G. I have never used anything but the stock AC Delco 13G. I have had one tip failure in over 20 years. It was at highway speed and it rattled a bit and then just went away. The next morning in August NO cold start. Found the problem. Broken tip just like you shown. But I would say changing them every year is over kill. I have the same ones for 10 plus years. On my Terminus M1009 the glow plugs are 20 years old. I spoke to the PO that I sold it to and he said he never had any troubles with the vehicle at all. Do as you wish but every year is over kill. And it still does not guarantee no failure. That was a fluke that that failed. Good Luck.O’reilly Auto is where I bought mine.
Military discount, coupon and was out the door for $63 for a set of 8.
Didn’t want to wait for Amazon.
They are self-regulating and will not swell. Why does the wiki seem to recommend the 60's over the 13's?
