Ken, you need to whoaback on that coffee man or go to decaf. your making us younger guys look bad. What's on tomorrows list, change all the O-rings out on the tires, just cause that's only like a three hour job!

Picked this up for member ¨olewhisky¨ today. Anyone who buys one out of Albany, GA, let me know if you need recovery assistance. These are mostly runners. I was concerned about the 220 degree coolant temp but other than that, it did good today for the 25 mile trip home.
Watch that coolant temp. Many of these trucks have been low on coolant, the reservoir looks good, but it quickly drops into the radiator after moving around. I was convinced mine was at level, but it ended up taking 7 gallons to bring it to full in the end. The shutterstat cooked at some point as well, not sure if it was related, but when it is working correctly, you know that fan is on. The engines really don't like high temps.

In the case of the truck I am storing, I think it is gauge or sending unit related. After getting it up to temp today on a drive, I checked the upper metal radiator hose with an infrared thermometer. Read 190 consistently there, 155 coming out of the radiator on the rear. Fan was engaged so I feel better about it now.

Not saying I'm not impressed, but I'm a little worried about Coffey1. I don't wanna' see a thread saying to send wishes to him in the hospital because he went 168 hours without sleep.
