Hello. I purchased one on 23OCT. I submitted my EUC form 10/28, GP reviewed it 31OCT, and submitted it to government on 13NOV. Truck did not turn over when they attempted to start it. Having zero personal experience with these machines, I am hoping and praying replacing the batteries it will start.....wishing and hoping!!! I live 5 hours away from the auction.

These are 20 year old trucks that may have had maintenance regularly or not. Seals are dry, the tires dry rotted, fluids in most cases older and dependent on the last mechanic that worked on it things could be properly put back together or not. Now electrical gremlins are a whole other issue and will cause hours and hours of grief and frustration.

So be prepared for alot of work and time. Just my personal opinion after playing with 4 of these so far.

I just won an overhauled one in GA, there were 2 plated as 2011 overhauls. I was hoping the overhaul data plates would not be widely noticed but not the case. I'll be looking for a shipper to drive it 800 or so miles to PA, hopefully under $4/mile. Wife is already gonna kill me! I'm hoping I didn't just overpay multiple thousands for cool new led lights. I read in the PA statutes that they have specific registration and plates for privately owned military vehicles, no mention of age so hoping I can actually get it on the road. I bought knowing that it might not be the case.... don't plan on getting creative to force the issue since I have never really run my trucks much other than to keep the systems running. It has been years since I bought an auction 5 ton so will see how long and difficult the process will be. I'll be following threads like this over time to see the experiences of others.
where was your overhaul plate installed? what did it say?

You need to look at the M11330, that is the RUC number that is assigned to every Military unit. That particular truck came from 3Rd Bn, 11th Marines (Artillery unit) stationed at 29 Palms CA. The lights were a add on done by many units for convoys. If you can send me the USMC number I may be able to find out more info on the truck. That truck may have been one of the trucks I worked on there.
Hello! are you able to find any info on 'M27430'? Thanks for your consideration!

Got the mtvr out in the snow today in GA. It handles the snow very well! View attachment 938850

Nice! First thing I noticed in the snow compared to the MTV is the ATC. MTV doesn't have it so I have to lock differentials. MTVR detected the spin and clamped the brake on that wheel (or axle) and pulled though with no intervention.
How available are the front and rear turret legs?
