I have a small leak in my Hyd. winch tank on my M925, thanks to the lovely G/L forklift drivers, but that's a story for a different day. Anyway i need to find some replacement oil to refill my tank with after i make my weld repairs.

I found some AW 32, R&O Hyd. oil with no weight listed for sale at Sam's club for around 40 bucks for 5 Gal. They also have another oil for 40 bucks for 5 Gal. that's listed as a AW 46 motor oil used for tractor/Hyd systems, it's listed as a 10W20 multi weight oil. What i would like to know is if any other members here have used this oil from Sam's club in their winch, and if so was it the AW 32 HYD oil, or the AW 46 10W20 motor oil?

Now i know the TM's call out for straight 10 weight motor oil, but so far i have only found one place local who sells it, and they were out of stock when i called. Now if someone knows of another Hyd. oil, maybe from a John Deeer dealer that might work for my winch please let me know the product name or part number. Thanks

M35A2-AZ That's who i called, i spoke to the gal who answered the phone and told her what i was looking for. She put me on hold for a few minutes then got back on line and said they were out of stock, so that's why i am looking for another source. Got any other ideas where i can find some so i can do my winch this weekend?

One last question, can i use the same AW 32 oil if i have any left over in my transmission since the TM list it using the same 10 weight oil as the winch?

Well that S**&. I would just try back later. Also I have started using AW68 here is AZ for my Hyd things.

If it has the allison (don't recall the exact designation) rating on the bucket, I would say yes but not if does not have the spec

The truth is, just about any hyd or 10wt oil will work fine in the winch, you can even use ATF if you like.

The simple winch system doesn't require much, the trans is another story.
