i am not a diesel expert!

but neer i can tell any bypass pressure causes oil mist to mix in fuel?
Causing a higher head temp...
could cause head gasket failure....

This theory was on a Ford forum....with a newer Diesel engine...
An engine that might be picky to such things.
The 6.2l J series might not be so picky....

The Ford forum stated CDR failure was the #1 cause of blown head gaskets.

I'd be leary about going without. THERE HAS TO BE AN ALTERNATIVE to the GM part!

Im not an expert.....just looking for a spare CDR VALVE!

The purpose and need for the CDR valve has been discussed and answered right here on the SS site. Search! There's no need to go to a Ford site or others for these answers.

CUCV and HMMWV engine are very similar?
I have fording kit installed on my HMMWWV and i pulled large hose off my CDR valve today and tons of oil came out.
I would assume some oil is okay, but there was a lot. Should i look in to getting a new valve or i got bigger problem?
