What is it?

I just picked up this M39 series 5 ton. It is a short wheel base and has a Van body on it? It has a workbench inside, It has a generator, Ventilation ducts, and lights inside. The tranny has a 4th gear where 5th is on my M813. It looks like this truck only has a few hundred miles on it since it's depot rebuild. The guy I bought it from gave it the "A-team paint job" Super nice guy, but the truck was to much for him.

That poor thing is butt ugly....looks like someone put a M109 body on a tractor chasis.

a moded m52a2 with a civi van box, the trans is non overdrive, with 5th being direct, may be a 109 box????

I thought it was a M109 box. The military put it together this way. It has a rack for the generator on the side of the truck. I have all the windows too. I should call it Cyclops!

that gen, rack on the right side looks like the right tank mount, CAN NOT believe this is a GOV. build, no way

Keeping the bumper for my M813. It will be black or green on the M813! But if I did keep it chrome, it would really screw up the pesky commuter cars. They would look in the rear view mirror and see themselves!

Well, who knows? I need to dig around the truck more. Some stuff was changed by the previous owner. It went from the military to, a Police dept to the guy I bought it from.

Thanks everyone! I bought the truck for parts or to bob. Just wanted to make sure I was not chopping up something rare. . The box is pretty beat up and I am not sure if it is going to be a chicken coop or a sheet metal dumpster.

Oh, that truck is very rare. I'm pretty sure it's the only one like it in the world (I hope so anyway).
