Last weekend I was wiping out the floor of V100 '799 and took off the tunnel covers under the cupola floor. Up near the front end I found some 7.62x51 fired blanks and a 1994 Canadian penny. All good provenance cues. However to the left, behind the driver's seat is a small bin about 10" x 10" and 6-8" deep. There is an over centre latch on the back. What would that be used for?
