Thanks, I didn't know that. Do you know for sure this transmission is the same as what was in the other models? It is a 6-speed automatic, and bolts in line with the engine (not beside, as I understand is how the M113 is)

I can't say for sure without doing research. I noticed the power pack on your loader was in-line and not like a M113 with the transfer case. The M113 transfer case is 1:1 ratio, and serves the purpose of making the power pack square so it will fit in the right front corner of the M113. Having the in-line power pack should make things much simpler for you as far as power swaps. As you know, SAE bellhousings are interchangeable as far as the SAE number, but the flywheel and torus are engine-specific. Basically you will have to find a Cummins flywheel designed for that model Allison. A 6V53 from a M113 might bolt right up however.

I am going to try to put some fresh fuel and batteries in it tomorrow and see if it does anything at all. Would be nice to see if it runs at all, at least then I could include it with the one that I sell (if I sell one)

Got the cargo platform pulled off the one unit, talk about a PAIN. Also pulled it about 1/2-3/4 mile down the road to it's permanent location (at least until it gets an engine). I had them dropped off at the end of a road nearby where I store stuff because there is no access for semi trucks where I park the stuff. The one with the engine in it I have not moved yet, I am planning to just order a new distributor for it and hope to get it running, then use the Cummins diesel I have to put in the one that did not have an engine.

Well I have the hatch designed and built! FREEBIE :)

I have not decided if this will be put on the APC, or the "tank" yet. Guess I will have to get some bulletproof glass made for it if I want to keep it 'armored'.
