What oil do you use?

Forgive the new thread. I'm sure there's an old one somewhere but a search of any type here keeps removing the word "oil" as it's too common of a word.

The TM for my truck states regular 30 weight dino oil will work, but 15w-40 seems much more common and may be a better alternative.

I've already ordered a Wix filter for a direct replacement of the filter that's currently on the truck. Now I need to buy the oil. What's best based on everyone's experience?

Rotela 10-40 will do the job nicely.

The Detroit is a "dirty" engine with its mechanical injection so there is no advantage to using the more expensive synthetic oil as it will not extend the oil change interval.
