If I was closer I'd be down in a heartbeat.
Not because I need it or want to use it much, but because it would add one more way to set up my truck (I'm up to about 4 or 5 different setups between mid height helmet hard top, troop carrier, pickup, and currently back to BEOD installed)

2 quarts of water came out of the oil pan and 2 stuck glow plus, she's all locked up for now. PB Blaster Time, could not find the mystery oil

Bummer. Top of engine looked all buttoned up, wonder how rain got inside. It's a GEP engine, those are worth repairing. Mine had water in it too, had to sleeve two cyls due to pitting.

We will see if she comes back to life, head gasket? might just be a parts truck. Winter project. Got it for cheap. I think it sat for many years, many vines growing through it

Pulled the starter and the pan, still does not crank after soaking in blaster. See some rust from the heads but it does not look to bad

That rust around cyl. 5 and 7 looks pretty bad.
#1 does not look all that good ether.
By the time the rust comes out the bottom of the pistons you have serious problems, IMHO that engine is toast.

I would say not for too long. Now a days diesel contains a lot of sulfur in it and it is highly corrosive. I would use any other lubricant or penetrting fluids that is less corrosive. If you are going to let it sit for a while. Just my personal opinion

diesel these days contains extremely little sulfur (it's called "ULSD Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel for a reason), and if it was corrosive then there would be all sorts of issues with the vehicle fuel systems that contain many metal components.

Of course, you don't want to let it sit for months at a time.

Usually I see Marvel Mystery Oil recommended when people talk about soaking engine cylinders
