Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
The M123A1C that I own is powered by a Cummins V8-300 (as was every M123A1C the day it left the factory). The V8-300 superceded the LeRoi TH-844 gasoline engine in the G-792 (10-ton) trucks. While the V8-300 engine looks very much like a V903, they are not the same. In fact, darn few of the internal components will interchange between the V8-300 and the V903.Yes the M123A1C 10 Ton 6x6 Tractor and the M125 10 Ton 6x6 Cargo truck uses the Cummins V903 engine !! it is basically a oversized Duece n Half or 5 Ton truck !! Check out the web site www.Olive-Drab.com there maybe a photos of those model of trucks !! The Cummins V903 was a mod done to those series of truck to replace the gas motor !!

As of 08' when I got out they were strill rebuilding them for the 41's. The newer 47's are powered by DD. Glad to another coastie is on here. I feel a little lost in the green world.I think I remember hearing that years later they replaced the Cummins with GM's. I was out by then.
