Different temps require different oils. Check TM 5-6115-584-12 and LO 5-6115-584-12.

Civi version of mil spec oil.

I tried looking up a cross-reference to mil spec and googled dextron II trans fluid.
That just doesn't seem right.
It gets cold here in NH so -10F to +30F (OE 10?) range oil.
Any suggestions 5W-20 etc.

I use Rotella T in all my Equipment have for years, and my Grand Father Before me. Also use it in all our farm equipment It has been good to me. Just my 2 Cents

Are these air cooled engines? Multi-grade oil is a no-no for air cooled engines, the high temperatures will burn the viscosity-modifying polymers and the oil will break down. Straight 30w is the way to go.
