What type of oshkosh 55000 transfercase is this.

Hello all in 2009 i acquired 3 transfercases 2 were the oshkosh 55000 series big ol things compared to the 5 tons and one is a 55000 but with a huge housing on the front output it seams. What's the housing for? Maybe gear reduction? I want to see if i can use it. I put one in a m916 water truck with a 350 cummins and never had a problem.

if they are the 2 speed cases I would like one. I would like to have low range in my M916.

Yes they are two speeds but one has a big round housing on one of the outputs.

It's a power divider. The back has a mounted PTO to it. You can kinda see it in the pic. It is a oshkosh 55000 case with mechanics style flanges and the added stuff.
