What would you do?

I've been there & done that, when it comes to getting another vehicle, and checking it out. It's been awhile since getting a truck that has not run for some time. So, I want to know what else you would check, before starting it, and making it road worthy.
Fluids & filters are a given. Then Brakes............

Thanks for those. Yes, I will drain the fuel. I include that with the fluids & filters. Along with the lines. Then there are the tires.

Fuel filters are one of my must do first things as well as drain old fuel and add new fuel. Bleed fuel system and crank her up, of course after doing all the other things mentioned by other posters above.

I agree with most of the posts. Filters, belts, fresh fuel etc.
