This is on my what was once a "parts deuce" that ended up being too good to part out. During my post road trip checks, I found this. Warped pulley or bearings in compressor? Makes air just fine and I dont think any noises...well that I can hear.

Mine does that too. I think it's kind of an optical illusion. They are a pain to adjust for the right belt tension and I have the proper tool.

I do not use tool to install only to loosen belt / remove outer half. I clean all threads on compressor shaft and outer pully half. Light coat of Never-Size on threads and then wipe it off with rag. This just leaves more like a residue of Never-Size but not enough to sling off and cause belt to slip. I try and remove as much slack in the belt as I can when installing the outer half of pully working the belt outwards on the two half's. Then I Just leave the two jam bolts loose and start the engine and that tightens the belt just about correct. If you think it needs to be tighter rev up the motor. Then tighten jam bolts. Easy and simple.

I'm a big fan of anti-seize myself. Although, I usually get more on myself than the part. I used cogged belts from Napa when I installed a Woltech alternator years ago. The belts seem rugged and flexible.

My beef with anti seize is that they make the bottle it comes in so that the supplied cap-mounted brush can only reach 60% of the contents. So I need to use a separate brush to get to the rest. AARGH.

And thank you for that video. I focused on the edge of the pulley and it really appears to be tracking straight. A fun example of an optical illusion.

I usually cut the bottle down to reach the rest, then put a tin foil cover over the cut bottle with a hole in the middle for the brush.
