Wheel Bearing packing grease

I just got the parts in today to replace a leaking rear wheel cylinder. When pulling the hub, I noticed that the packing grease was white and had a funky odor to it. I typically used wolf packing grease for the bearings on my other work truck. I was wondering if the stock packing grease is anything special? Any one have any suggestions on packing grease. Would like to get it at the local Napa and not have to order it. Thanks

Water contamination probably. Water also would trap nasty bugs causing the stench. Very common in early 4x4 truck front wheel bearings.

The military use's GAA , but you can use any wheel bearing grease, If you want to use GAA ,call me , i also have a bearing packer.
