Where are the cargo covers for LMTVs?

Man, where are the cargo covers for the LMTV?

Been looking for a new cover for ages, at a good price...

Eastern has complete sets including bows but they're not cheap and I'm sure shipping would be extremely pricey as well.

Other than some 5 ton tarp sets I haven't seen much coming thru the auctions. I think a lot of the 4x4 tarp kits have come with surplussed trucks. I think the big resellers order the kits new.

There was a guy on the auction site were I got a new in the box lmtv cargo cover with the bows for like 499.00 shipped and at the time he had tan and three color

They are all residing with the HEMTT crane remote cables in an undisclosed warehouse some where in the AEC range of the Nevada desert. Just sayin'.

Another reason is that LMTV cargo covers WILL work on a deuce - they are a little long on the sides and a little loose overall, but they do fit (I'm running one on one of my deuces), so the smart people have been gobbling them up when they do show their pretty little heads. Now you are in on the secret too!

Man I bought 4 of them for like 300 bucks a couple years ago before the LMTVs really started coming out. Had a hard time selling them and I sold them CHEAP. Knew I should have waited.

My EXACT reason for trying to rehab my existing worn out cover... 15 years of filth and a rear flap that has been mashed in the tailgate and left to flap freely. I just got thru spending a WEEKEND cleaning my top. Finally found a cleaner that would get the grime out with elbow grease with a light sponge (scruffy side) and that wouldn't damage the canvas.

Also figured out a good replacement for all my cords and some repair items for missing pull strap mount thingies.

Here is before and after. Not sure if you can tell a whole lot but it looks fantastic now!

So what was this special cleaner? One of my covers was left in the trailer until sold by GP and left black water stains that boric acid wouldn't even lighten.


The covers work on the M1082 as well. That will also add to the cost and availability issue.
