Where do "new" air packs come from?

Not one vendor I have asked has been able to say. I asked several on epay and two of the nationally-known companies.

I got one today and there is no country of manufacture on any of the packaging or on the assembly itself.

If they are all built to "mil-spec", then supposedly it doesn't matter; except that it does to me. I don't want Chinese crap in my 13,000 pound truck brake system.

Anyone know who's producing these?

You should see and hear what goes on in a triwall full of naked airpaks in a dark warehouse. The debauchery!!!

It's possible that they may be made in Korea. I would trust Korean made over Chinese made any day, but would still rather have American made as well when it comes to brake components.

Right, I'm also pretty certain its Korea that these airpacks are made my reasons are HERE
You could get a NOS unit that would be USA made, you could have a USA made one rebuilt in the USA using asian rebuild kits. I'm 99% sure that there are no currently produced USA made airpacks. I would suspect that the rebuild kits could come from several countries, but I'm not too sure there would be several countries making a complete Airpack. I'm not sure if there are any currently produced USA made brake parts at all for these anymore, no longer wheel cylinders, hoses, airpacks, airpack rebuild kits. Might still have usa made wheel cylinder rebuild kits in production, not sure on any single circuit master cylinder stuff.

Try giving these guys a call since they are the distributor for the airpacks and probably all other "new" parts we get for our trucks:

I see our new airpacks even have a 1year/100,000 mile warranty... wonder which one will come first?
