What the.....where the.....how the.....what the...... I'm stumbling for words. Is that a CF-55-AF? What the......how the....does it drive.....what the....what the....when the......what the.....who the.......

I first saw it a Pima....not my pic. Two faced little truck that is............ Is there any way I could touch it? You sound busy but there hasn't been a single ferry sink since you've been away. Moving,,,,,,, absolutely sucks and is great for inventory at the same time. Sure glad you found that beast. I'll help move if I can play with that truck....... Someone needs to take detailed pics of that beast.

Its been by my tuck and trailer with multiple loads, straight crane trucks, a pair of tandem steer crane truck tractors with step decks a few loads and three 40' high cube containers so full i couldnt slide another piece of paper in.
I have what i swear to the creator is the last load on my pickup and will be on the 515am ferry friday morning.
Then..build the building, pour the slab, wire the place, unpack and organize the chaos that is.
Not the order i hoped to do it in, but i saved a lot more than i thought id be able to given the time constraints.
I got the word from BC Hydro that i can get 3 phase power to our property. However i have to pay them to undertake a study to find out how much its going to cost to bring it the 5 poles to our place. And they couldnt tell me how much the study was going to cost..all i could do was shake my head. So 450ft of wire, a bucket truck and some boneheads..how much could it be?
You'd think with all the carbon tax bs electricity would be free...but no..

Its a federal F-55-AF im pretty sure federal only had the contract for 2 or 3 years.
Has a buda LO-525 gas engine and pretty much inlimited torque. 4wd 4wheel steer. Itll be getting some new 1600-20 xzl's once things calm down a bit.
It only has a driveshaft park brake and our place has some pretty good hills so i need to put some maxi's on it. Thats why its currently guarding the house.(the wife is impressed) so to smooth her out i snagged her a little bolens tractor. She is all smiles.

Wished I knew you had the Bolens tractor. I was in the process of rebuilding mine until I hit the transmission. It was trashed, so I threw out everything. I still have the steering column as I had modified it to except brass bushings and the front axle as I was modifying it also.

The CF-55-AF in your post is parked at the Combat Air Museum in Topeka, KS. I was there this week, great museum. I recommend a visit for any aviation or military history enthusiast.

I'm currently trying to retrofi a couple of the rotochambers with a combo of a type 12 wedge brake piggyback and a standard type 12 service chamber so i have real parking brakes. Our place has some large hills and if this thing takes off on its own down waltons mountain there will be explaining to do.

Duuane loaded up my truck with the 303M I bought from him with this beasty. I asked him at the time if he wanted to sell it. He just laughed.
Close Rusty

I loaded you with the wife's bullmoose..there's a story there... I rolled it off the lowbed at the old shop..and just as i pulled the parking brake my phone rang.. "..Hi Pixie..(her nickname)...umm yeah..well what am i doing? Here let me send you a picture.."
So she asks what is that? I say 'It's our new bullmoose.." to which she says totally deadpan.. "thats MY bullmoose.." I damn near fell off the machine laughing with her giggling in my ear.

I am one lucky caveman.

I should have given it to you. The guy that got it, when he got it home, immediately cut the winch out of it, scrapped the rest then complained to me about the 14,000lb concrete counterweight.

Meathead ruined a prefectly good machine. Hydraulic everything( crane functions and steering). The only piece of hard linkage in it was the throttle. Air brakes. A thing of industrial beauty built in Burnaby BC from what i've been told. With some love it wouldve out lasted all of us.
