The White Motor Company developed, under contract to the Army, their own multifuel engine in 1958 using the Reo V-8 engine platform. It used a precombustion chamber and a spherical main combustion chamber. "Even at -36F, the engine started with gasoline or diesel fuel the moment the starter button was touched." The report with more details went for more than my max bid on ebay. See the attached scans.

200HP upgradeable to 220HP. I'd scan in the text but it probably won't be legible. When was the LD series developed?
