Going to go ground up and do a COMPLETE rebuild of axles as a preventative nature. Who's got the best deal on parts? Dont want cheap chinese/off-brand parts.
LARGE TAPPERED PINION BEARINGS W/ RACEs 1 SMALL LOWER FLAT BEARING 1 PINION SHIM PACK 1 LARGE & 1 SMALL PINION GASKET
2 PINION SEALS
For $600
I know the pinion seals are around $40 each from Napa.
I can almost buy two good used 5 ton axles for that $600.
Maybe cheaper and easier to get a set of old bearings and take it to a local bearing shop and have them find you the bearings. Check Oshkosh or another vendor for the NSNs maybe and then transfer it to the basic part numbers. Maybe cheaper. I do that for the 5 ton hub bearings and they are generally $15 or more cheaper than Napa or Truckpro.
