I saved this pic from a while back, very nice M35A2 w/w. I noticed a light mount on the driver's side fender of this deuce, and it looks like a smaller version of the turn signal brushguard. What is this light mount? Not familiar with it.

That truck belonged to SS member "deuceswild".

He has since sold it.

Probably the same warning light as found on the 5 ton wrecker fender, some deuce's had an "A" frame hoist installed in the bed for light recovery / vehicle maintenance, I had one in Germany until we received heavier trucks and required a TOE change to a 5 ton wrecker.

Wrecker Light

maddawg,

That was my old truck, and as far as the light mount goes, I fabricated the bracket myself - it is just a copy of the same light mount found on the wreckers.

Clinto is right, I sold it last June to a guy in Arizona, and BTW I noticed he was trying to sell it on ebay a few months ago.

Was searching for this... found it!

Question, what is the light for? It doesn't seem to have a friend on the other fender on any wreckers I've seen so does it just blink? The purpose?
It simply blinks on and off, to be used during recovery operations.
