We still had two on base when I joined the USAF in 1980. Both even had snow plows...
Had an idiot tell me the USAF never bought SINCGARS radios at a USAF conference one time either but my unit had about 60 in manpack and vehicular rack mounts.
Those of us in USAF Tactical Comm have seen a lot of Army or Marine type equipment and vehicles used by us. I know several USAF units that have Strikers, MRAPs and APCs.
