Will a "25 HP" 4 cyl diesel run a 15KVA generator?

A while back I found an add for "25 HP" ex-mil 4-Cyl. diesel engines virtually complete with zero hours on the rebuild.
When I saw the price I assumed it was a typo.
I realize the price does not include shipping.
I also think the "25 HP" figure is not the actual HP.
If these would drive a 15 KVA generator that would be great.

It should depending on what RPMs it builds it's power at and what design the 15 KVA gen head is.
if it's a 4 pole gen head and the diesel is rated for 1800 RPMs it will most likely work just fine.

not likely that the engine would be rated for 3600 RPMs if it's a diesel multi-cylinder.

Even if for some reason it didn't manage to pull the full 15KVA, (which I expect it would, diesel engines are better with torque than gasoline engines, which as a rule of thumb are 2HP per 1KW) it's better to have an oversized gen head than an undersized one.
