Hey everyone, I'm going over my deuce I recently purchased and would like to do a PM service on the front mount winch. Does anyone know exactly what's involved in this? Or what type of fluid it would use? Thanks.

I used gear oil 80/90w, but you need to look in the TM for the amount. It does not take very much.
You put it in the two side of the winch. There is plugs you pull to drain it and plug on top to fill it.

Pretty much any gear oil will work as it's a slow speed gearbox.

I run corn head grease in mine to cut down on leaks. It's thicker than oil but not as thick as standard tube grease. The call it "flowable" grease.
