Okay, I've looked at the -10 (to satisfy that tomato guy--hopefully) and I can't find what position the drum lock should be in when NOT using the winch. Should it be engaged (ie no drum movement) or disengaged (drum movement)? Thanks.

Wow, ACE is gettin it tonite! There are detents in the drum to make it lock. Try turning it out with the lock engaged to see if it will lock into a spot.
