Winch Wiring Question

I mounted a 12v winch to the front of the M1008. Now I need to figure out wiring. My M1008 is the original 24v system. Can I attach the positive and negative on the winch directly to one of the batteries? If so, should it be the front or rear batter?

Front battery. I hook all snow plow equipment and salt spreader to the front battery. You will be golden. Show some pictures of your install. Happy Easter.
