Windshield wipers start themselves

I have searched and can't find the answer, thought that is probably operator error. After my M109 gets up sufficient air pressure, the windshield wipers suddenly start up, even though they are turned off. And I can't get them to stop again.

Am I missing something? Do I need to rebuild them? I am sure I can just clamp off the air line, for driving on a sunny day... but it would be a pain if there was a sudden downpour and I neeeeeded them.

Thanks for your patience!

Are you sure they are turned off? the air valve is opposite of righty tighty if I remember correctly...

if it is off, there could be a seal in the valve that only lets go when the pressure builds up high enough, then just replace the valve

Strange. I have a M35A2 that has a similar wiper issue. At 0 psi it has no action.(captain obvious) 30-40 psi the wipers start on their own like crazy. As it approaches full pressure and at full pressure the wipers shut off and the control valve functions normal.
