Here is an exploded view of the tilt column for those who can use it.
The important distances are the mount to the firewall and the firewall to the end of the output shaft.
I cannot remember the exact year that the body on the GM pickup/suburban/blazer was changed and I am unsure if the column or steering gear changed at all, but I do know that electrically is probably the most important aspect of swapping in a column. I would think that anything from around 84-91 in the old body style ought to work,
