ok replaced both fuel filters and primed it up and got it running. However now it wont rev past 1700 rpm and ideas?

Is it still smoking black?
And, BTW, air in the system will not cause black smoke and the bosch pump is self bleeding. no need to open any part of the system. Just crank it with the throttle depressed.
