Working Dash Indicator Lights Video

After much work, I have my dash indicators working properly. This is a video of a cold start of a 1984 M1009 at 50F this morning. Note the GEN 2 light stays on until the RPMs are high enough to activate the exciter (tap the accelerator); then the voltmeter gage goes from high yellow to green. All of the caution/warning indicators blink on (coolant temperature, fasten belts, brake, low coolant) either when the key is in the start or run position.

Looks like you have spent some time cleaning your truck. The cluster and steering column look great.

What about you 4x4 light?

Four-wheel drive light works too. I worked all weekend getting the red dust off the interior of the truck from the GA rally! I went through a small bottle of Armor All. Thanks for noticing!

Nice Job.
You should depress the accelerator pedal 1/4 and hold while starting, and release it when it starts. It helps set's the cold fast idle, and excites the Alt.

Please, PLEASE, disconnect that darn buzzer!
I did not even know they had a buzzer as every CUCV I have ever had did not sound. So I guess the previous owners/operators removed it before me. Never gave it any thought that it should be there, but yeah that is a really annoying sound.

OH, an nice looking dash to the OP!
