Not sure what the price was, but when I was ordering stuff from Ted Hill's just before Christmas, they mentioned that they had the kits in stock...
I think Saturn had them listed on thier website as well...

I'd really like to know what you think of the setup when and if you get one installed. I don't have any experience with the setup.

RE: wipers

I have a set on my M109A3 that will be going to Oregon with me this summer, They went on well, the wiper motor is quiet and powerful, the arms are VERY heavy duty and they take commercial bolt on blades from any truck shop or Napa store. The effective pressure against the windshield is much higher than stock ait wipers and should clear the glass well. I am going to install the windshield washer kit I bought 4 years ago, I know it will do some good now that I can clear the glass. The winshield will now only open about 3 inches for ventilation, but that's always been about where I set it on a hot day. Anymore and my old eyes need goggles or I can't see through the tears. JT

Everything John said I agree with, except the opening of the window part. I haven't tried to open the windows on the 2 trucks we have that have the electric wipers, so I can't comment on that.

They are the bomb.

Mine has the electric wipers, I've never had any other deuce, so I can't compare them to anything. But they are nice. I can get the windows open probably about 1/2 way with them on, but my locks must be messed up because I can't lock them open even a few inches.

But, it rained some on the way home from WI when I first left the base on my recovery, they cleared the windows nicely and from what I've read, they are a ton more reliable than the air wipers.

More power (like in snow), more reliable, quieter, commercial blades. Plus it's a neat option not everyone has.

I like the old school air powered wipers, have never had a problem with them. That said, I also have a truck with the electric kit installed. They seem fine too. The only complaint I have with them is that the wipers park to the left, which is right in my field of view when in the drivers seat. Annoying. I've seen pics of the electric wipers that park to the 'right', so they must be adjustable. I haven't really tore into them yet to see how they tick, but is there a way to adjust the 'park'? If not, I'll be selling them and installing air wipers.

mine "park" to the right as well Armada. I'll go out in a bit and see if I can't figure out an adjustment for them.

Armada,

To move the wiper "park" position to the right side is pretty easy.

Looking up between the windshield center column and the wiper bracket, you'll see the motor mounting stud and an eccentric offset arm that actually moves the wiper arms. When the wipers are parked to the right, that offset arm should be pointing toward the passenger (right) side of the truck. My guess is yours is pointed toward the drivers (left) side. Loosen the mounting nut, you may even have to remove it all together and pull the offset arm away a little (or off the whole way) and rotate it to the other side and re-tighten/re-install the nut.

Sorry for the blurry picture, but the camera wanted to focus on the mounting bracket rather than the arm I was trying to get. The picture was taken from below, upside down on the passenger side of the truck.

Thanks Speddmon for the detailed picture! Sounds easy enough. I'll check it out tomorrow and see what I come up with. Thanks again.
