WTH: White Wall tires on Taliban HMMWV?

I was watching the news and saw the Taliban parade our equipment. Many of the HMMWV, trucks and other rolling thunder had white wall tires? Here is one picture I found.

Maybe they just painted them on. Looks like they also did some pin stripping on some of the vehicles too! Please tell me those tires is not something we used!

Those trucks in the first picture, the ones with the multiple launch rocket launchers, are Russian trucks. I didn't see any US trucks.

must have hired some russian tire painters. I suppose that was the best russia could send them. the rest of their best and brightest are otherwise engaged in the crimea. kind of a shock and awe display though.

Many countries do this for military parades, quite common. The U.S. military has had guidance for many moons about spraying diesel fuel to the paint jobs to make the trucks appear wet and clean.
Alot of that came about when the military had actual military parades, something we frankly don’t see any longer as it was decided it looked to much like a mean communist country.
The last large parade was after the Gulf war in NY with General Schwarzkopf

Elections have consequences... no matter who you vote for. All that equipment should have been brought back or destroyed. What really pisses me off and isn't reported on was all of the military dogs they left behind... I am sure they are being cared for (sarcasm)

Not destroyed. It should have all been loaded up and brought back to the US of A period. If we left anything there it should have been about 235 square Miles of fresh glass.
