Went to move the truck today and the power switch was on!!!

Anyone in the Xenia/Dayton OH area have a jumper cable and willing to come give my M923A1 a jump??

I seriously don't want to have to pull the batteries and charge them individually, as the truck is too far from the house to run the charger to it!

PM me if anyone is able/willing to help .... Thanks!!

I have a set of 6TLs and slave cable equipment...

but let me say this.

If your batterys have been run down, your best bet is to run a cord out and charge them. Yes you can jump start your truck with another truck, but with dead batterys, you can fry your alternator real quick. Unless your truck needs to be moved ASAP, I think you would be time and money ahead if you bite the bullet and charge the batterys one at a time.

Gimpy is correct. I fried my Deuce trying to jump a truck with dead batteries.

Kip, Where the heck do you think I am slacker. I was standing next to DH at the back of Stretch's civi truck eating low country boil.

Ugghhh.... Ok, like it or not, I will defer to both of your greater experience with military vehicles. Well, looks like I have the next few days mapped out to get the batteries out and up to the house and charge them one by one... No way to get enough extension cords to reach the 200+ feet to the truck. Oh well, might as well fully service the batteries and compartment while they are out. lol

Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice for a course correction!!

While it sounds like it sucks that is actually a great idea. Do a little housekeeping while you have them. Might not hurt to have them load tested.

You would not have had the problem if you had driven it down to the Georgia Rally this week. :)

LOL... Yea I wish I could have gone down to the Georgia Rally... I would have also tried to get one of those BOH trailers while I was down there! :tank:

Unfortunately, with only being 7 week since my neck surgery, I doubt a long trip in a bouncy 5-ton would have been a good thing! lol

Well, as it turns out, I got the batteries out with no problems at all. They look brand new!! Grease on all of the bolts and terminals didn't even have any dust or sign of age at all!. Everything slipped right out! All the battery fluids looked decent. I checked the voltage pre-charge, all were 11.2-11.6 volts. So I put my smart charger on one and it did the analysis, then started charging.... My charger starts at low amps then will ramp up to 25amps and as the battery gets charged in tapers off the amps until it's fully charged. If you leave the charger on, it drops to a trickle charge.

So 1st battery took about 4hrs to read "Fully Charged"... Checked the voltage right after unhooking the charger, and it was right at 13.8 volts with a slight seepage of fluid out of a couple of the cap vents. I hooked up the 2nd battery and went to bed. Got up this morning to the charger reading "Fully Charged".. unhooked and voltage is again at 13.8 volts with slight seepage at a couple of the cap vents. Checked the 1st batteries fluids and perfect at about an 1/8" below the bottom of the caps. Hooked up the 3rd battery and went to work...

So it's all looking good! :)
