Summary of Hazards of dumping with M101 series trailers:

1. Firstly, we decided to call it tilt in lieu of dump. The trailer is not really designed to "dump" payload, though many of us do it.
2. You may need to apply heat to the front bolts to loosen them the first time. Mine had self locking nuts and loctite to boot. They were frozen shut.
3. You might break the brake lights when dropping the bed.
4. You might break the tailgate when dropping the bed.
5. You might break the brake lines when dropping the bed.
6. You might break the tail lights harness when dropping the bed.
7. Be sure to leave it hooked up to your vehicle when tilting, especially the first time, until you learn the specifics of your trailer.
8. Apply trailer brakes before tilting.
9. Have someone else nearby to observe the cables, wiring, brake lines, tailgate (if attached), and brake lights for possible damage if using the backup routine to tilt the first time, which may be needed to "break the trailer loose" after removing the front pins.
10. Consider changing out the front pins with something of strength, which would be a little easier to remove and replace, without incurring any safety hazard.

Good luck with the tilt.
