Not sure about the 816s, but in mine, you push in the clutch, put the trans in 5th, put the transfer in neutral, and pull the lever behind the door latch forward to engage the pto. Then you go lift stuff!
and use the rear throttel control to raise the rpm to at least 1400rpm:beer:
No long ideling.:driver:

my rear throttle is frozen. hand throttle in cab makes it run up to 2k in the third notch. first 2 notches make no difference. will, have to chase it down. sure makes mounting 395's on recentered hemmts alot easier than by hand!!

Yea hand throttel in cab will not work and the rear throttel is a Govener control.
Did anyone catch the video where it said to put transfer case in neutral but he grabbed the front winch control lever not the transfer lever?
