i finally got around to replacing the parking brake cable on my deuce since it had been stretched/frayed and wasnt working. and i pulled away down my driveway to our farm and of course engaged it to make sure it was working and i started smelling my clothes thinking i layed in something. Then i drove around for an hour in the mud of the feilds and engaged it again before parking and smelled it again. Thats when i realized what it was. Does anyone else smell that awful? It's such a distinct smell. I started laughing.
On a side not these parking brakes are incredible. It will actually STOP the vehicle abruptly and take ALOT of effort to overcome it with the clutch. I was thoroughly impressed, they are borderline air-brake parking brakes.
Also to anyone who has replaced a cable, for something so simple, its soooo hard haha. Everything is in the perfectly wrong position to reach with a ratchet/wrench so i noticed.
