Next gauge to buy???

What I have is a pair of 3 gauge pods and a single tach pod. I have three temp gauges (coolant, oil, transmission), an oil pressure gauge and a volt gauge. I'm left w/ an unused opening. I have no need for a pyrometer as I don't plan on a turbo. That leaves me wondering what to put in the last opening. It has to be an electric gauge so I can disconnect it and move it aside when I need to work under the dash.
I already have a clock.
I would like an inside / outside thermometer, but have never seen one to fit a gauge pod.
An inclinometer would be cool, but again, never seen one to fit.
Electric fuel pressure gauges are pricey compared to what I spent on all the gauges (cheap).
I end up doing service each spring and fall before it is due so an hour meter isn't needed.
Ideas?

Is a low psi oil pressure gauge safe to use for fuel pressure?

Corelokt,

I have an idea, what about an altimeter, like in an airplane?
That would be cool.

If you would like one, I go in and out of airports all the time,
I can keep my eyes open and ask around for you.
If you just tell me what size gauge you need, or the size of the opening.

I still think an altimeter would be cool...

Besides in the original post, he said he already had a clock.
And a fuel pressure gauge was too pricey for him I think.

I have a tach. I also have a clock. Fuel pressure gauges w/ elect. senders are expensive.
An altimeter would be sweet. My gauges are black trimmed w/ black faces. Plus it would need to fit a 52mm, 2 1/16th opening and fit into the length of the gauge cup. That might be impossible. Thermometers for the gauge cups are like $50.00 bucks. What a rip, as the same technology is $15.00 bucks not so sized.

Corelokt,

Okay, now that I got some stats on the gauge you need, I will look around,
and see what I can try an find, since I go to airports all the time,
and someone at work as contacts at airports too.

Wish me luck, I will try to find you an altimeter.

By the way, what is the length of the gauge opening?

I found something on the cheap. A digital altimeter, barometer, thermometer, compass. It's meant for hiking and fishing, but is flat backed and a little over 2" around. I plan to stick it on a flat panel attached behind the pod opening. It runs on a watch battery and the front can be detached from the back cover such that I can access the battery from the front.
Many thanks for the altimeter idea, looking lead me to it.
Look up: multi temp waterproof led fishing barometer altimeter on the bay.

Corelokt,

Glad you liked the altimeter idea, you are welcome.
I am glad you found something that will work for you.

Good luck with it.

Post pics of all these gauges, so all of us can see how they look.

I would go with pyro,
It would be nice to have when towing, and you could use it to drive for good fuel mileage as well.

But it must be nice with all those temp guages. What oil temps are you seeing?

I've got to move my sending units before I'll know. I put them out by the radiator and they read way low. I'm waiting on some 5 pin connectors to use wiring in the gauges, to make removing them to get into the dash cleaner. I'll post pic's when it's done and working.
