1-pin vs. 2-pin slave ports

I am adding a slave port to my dropside and updating my older truck to the NATO single pin style.

The cabs on all our trucks were designed for the older 2-pin setup and the cab side is embossed for that style.

All the single pin ports I have seen are the smaller style.

Questions:

1. Does a single pin slave port exist that has the larger, earlier style base?
2. If such a thing exists, does anyone have a source for a couple?

I have seen only adapter plates as in your one pic. One of the coolest mods I did to my deuce that's sold was to add one of the HMMWV slave kits that flooded the market a few years back. I drilled a hole under the right headlight and it fits there like it was made for it. Best of all the cables were just the right length to bolt both leads up to the starter hot and ground. Just check behind to make sure you get it where it needs to be. I much prefer a front or rear mount slave port.

All the one's I've seen have an adapter plate. I'd like to get about three or four adapter plates (for mine and other trucks at the club compound).

I like it, really clever. But will it work for all the NATO slave cables? They fit inside that little crevice? I ran out of time today, trying to get 2 trucks ready, so I never had a chance to test it out.

I suspect we have the same kit-I bought 4 of them, one for the dumper, one for the other truck (since sold, replaced by dropside) and 2 for.......... I guess a DUKW and either a wrecker or maybe make the mule 24V.

Yes sir, please and thank you. I guess I'll have to see if I can get it close enough with the plasma cutter, otherwise I guess I'll have to have someone waterjet them for me.

Clinto, I can take pics of it with both ends on it but not until Tuesday when I get off in the daylight. Working 15 today and tomorrow. As long as you drill it in the right place, they both fit quite nice. My deuce is gone but the first one I did was the M108 and its still here. It was my test subject.

Here are my measurements, I used a machinist's scale, and sized the 4 mounting holes with drill bits. It should be fairly accurate. Anyone know where I can get a cap for a NATO single pin outlet?

Look what I saw today, courtesy of 3rdaavbncco. This is the adapter I need. Need at least 2, so I can add a slave port to the A2CV and one to HQ41, my '67 A2.

I am currently using the adapter plate a friend of mine made (mucho thanks!) but I'd still like to have the "correct" factory unit. Does anyone have one of these aluminum adapters?

I could cut these out of steel on CNC plasma if there is enough interest in them. Would probably cost $2-4 to ship one, but I could ship 10+ in a small flat-rate for ~$6. Price would probably be $10-$15 each.

Yes and thank you. A friend of mine made me a plate that I am using in my '87 perfectly- My OCD is just causing me to stare at it every time I walk past it and I want the "correct" military adapter.

If we can get a few made up, I could swap you one off my shop van for a made up one. I know it's GI, or at least as GI as it can get because it came that way from GL.

I will use the drawing off the first page and transfer all those measurements to CAD. Will try to cut one next week and try it out (I have an old truck to test fit it on).
