Power Issue - Starts but no lights or gauges

The buzzer goes off upon flipping the power switch and it starts the engine just fine but no power is reaching the electric gauges, lights, or blinkers. Bulbs and gauges have tested good, batteries are topped off, and alternator is new (with a tested output). The wires have been traced with the diagram from the TM and repaired; the cluster was cut from the harness.

I'm at the point I'm thinking to replace the power toggle switch to help narrow down a solution. If the gauges were working I'd suspect the 3 way switch to be at fault. Any input to tracking down the gremlin would be appreciated.

Are your batteries connected correctly?

The buzzer is on the same feed as the gauges, I'd be looking for a bad ground between the gauges and the dashboard. Also check connection "A" or wire number 10 on the magnetic starter.

Wire 10 showed 24.1 volts. I soldered the cut cables in place of crimping and re-re-reseated the 3 way switch (NOS 2004 stock). External lights work now for reasons unknown. Gauges are still not working fully.

Now check and make sure you have a good metal to metal connection between the instrument panel and the dashboard. Clean up the 4 mounting screws and wiggle things around a bit. Wire #27 feeds power to all the gauges, make sure you have a good connection there. I would trace it back to terminal "B" on the ignition switch. Check terminal "B" for voltage with the switch in the on position. No power there would mean a bad switch. Hope this helps.
